Who are we?
We have been a part of the Lions International Organization since 1995, and prior to that, We were the Fairbanks Motorcycle Racing Association for many years here in the Tanana Valley. Our club has an elected Board of Directors
What do we do?
We provide a recreational and competitive outlet for local motocrossers of all ages. Motocross is inceasing in popularity every year. It is fun, exciting and a sport that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Our track is located at the corner of Holmes and Dennis Road next to Alaska Petroleum and the Polar Ice Arena. Volunteers (mostly parents and riders) keep our track well maintained. This year we will hold ten local races and one state series race. All races are conducted according to our current rule book
When can you ride?
The track is generally open for Lion's members to practice from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily except for race days and the day before races after 2 PM. The following regulations also apply. Monday and Thursday from 5 PM to 8 PM is reserved for Mini Quad and bikes with 85cc or less. After 8 PM on Monday is reserved for Quad riders and Thursday after 8 PM is reserved for big bikes. Minimum safty gear consists of a helmet, eye protection, long sleeve shirt, long pants and stiff boots. Please ride responsibly! Be sure that you stay well clear of the machinery when grooming is in progress. Pay attention to track direction and be considerate of fellow riders. A wide varity of skill levels may be on the track at any given time.
When do you race?
We will be grooming the track as soon as possible. Racing will begin on the 11th of May. Check our schedule. The track is closed to riding on race days until the races are over and the day before races at 2PM for track preparation. We race on Sundays with sign ups at 9:00 AM. Rider's Meeting is at 9:30, practice starts at 10:00 AM and racing begins at 11:00 AM. Races are only open to Lion's members. The annual cost of membership is $125.00 per family. Expert racers compete for cash prizes and all other classes have trophies awarded.
